Running free

Nick has developed this habit lately of getting out of the bath and just taking off around the house. Apparently, everything is better when he's naked.
He loves to chew on this lion toy thing. It must taste better and alleviate all that teething pain better in the buff.

Nick had tons of fun climbing on Daddy and playing with him. Lucky for Daddy that he didn't have any accidents!

Hoodlum

We recently got Nick a tricycle. So I know this doesn't look like your average tricycle, and it's not. It's so cool that it goes from being a rocker, to a tricycle with a handle for mom and dad to help push to a regular tricycle. Nick is still too little to reach the pedals, but he loves to rock.

Earlier that day, he would not let us take off his sweatshirt or take the hood off of his head. We tried several times, but he freaked out each time.
So to avoid a total melt down we let him run around with the hood up and called him our little hoodlum.
He's super cute and he knows it.

Rassle Tassle

There is nothing better than rassle tassle!!!! It's "rough house" time in the Hansen household and we all head to the bed where we get silly. Nick, as you can imagine, loves it.
We roll around, jump/bounce on the bed (I know, I will regret this habit when he is a little older), and really do anything that makes Nick laugh.

Then eventually we get tired and cuddle for a bit. Like I said, there's nothing better than rassle tassle!

Hogeye 2010

Okay all of you who come here just to see Nick, this post is primarily about me... sorry... more Nick will come soon! Last Sunday I ran my second half marathon. It was a beautiful but warm morning and let me tell you, it's so much easier to do before you have a baby!
This is at just shy of mile 13, climbing the last hill of the race. Yes, it hurt as much as my facial expression says it does.
Homestretch - the person in the "volunteer" shirt is just about where the actual finish line was.

Of course the second I finished the race, sweet Nick wanted me to hold him. Poor little boy just didn't understand. Somehow though, I managed to find it in me. Regardless, I must give a huge thank you to both Nick and Eric. They are the BEST cheerleaders I could have. They both supported me through 8 long weeks of training and were there to cheer me on race day. Thank you boys, I couldn't have done it without you!!!

Spring Time

Last weekend was absolutely beautiful and we spent tons of time outside. The two crab apple trees in our yard always have the most beautiful blossoms, even Nick enjoyed them this year.
He LOVED when Eric reached up and shook one of the branches and made all of the flower petals "rain" down on him.
As the petals were falling he kept saying "whoa"... too cute for words!
And since it's been awhile since I've posted a video, here you go.

Technology

Nick has already discovered technology. We are apparently in trouble. As you can see, he's quite fascinated by the blackberry.

He looks like such a natural with it!
Although, I think we all feel this way sometimes about blackberries, cell phones, computers, etc!!
